At the close, you face off against a helicopter. You fight off massive robots, dodging their incoming fire so you can get close enough to cut them into ribbons, which is pretty satisfying. The second part of the demo is where things pick up. Some of them are holding paper hostages, and you have to slice them clean away from the innocents.

You're on a beach slicing watermelons, then cardboard cutouts of enemies. The first segment of the demo has you squaring off against inert targets. I don't think the gameplay is inaccurate, but I do think the current graphical representation of where your sword is going to fall needs to be tweaked for the final version. This turned out to be harder for me than I thought, as I couldn't really "read" the graphical display to see where my sword slice was going to end up. Going into this precision-aim mode reveals weak points on enemies, which you can attempt to get your sword to slice through for extra points – you pick up useful items from enemies if you hit their weak spot. You hold one of the trigger buttons to go into a slo-mo, bullet-time sword mode, then adjust the angle of your slice with the analog sticks while enemies are stopped in their tracks. (Somewhere along the line, it seems to have been canceled and then revived.) What happens this year is that we get to find out how this actually plays out. We've known this for a while this game has been teased since 2008. Revengeance's main gimmick is the fact that hero Raiden has a massive sword which he can use to precisely slice up objects and enemies.
